Modern Woman's Take

Modesty

Modesty. In today’s culture this word is taboo for many women.
Modesty is not about covering your body.
Modesty is not about your religion.
 Modesty is not anti-feminist.
Modesty is not a way for men to control a woman’s body.

Yes, it can be all these things if taken in the wrong context but can’t anything?

Modesty is a platform. A way for a woman to say “I am more than my clothing.”

Modesty says look at what I am saying not how much skin I am showing.
Modesty says listen to to my heart.
Modesty says I the most important part of my body that starts with a “B” is my BRAIN!
Modesty says fall in love with my heart and soul not my butt to waist ratio.
Modesty says look in my eyes because they are a window into me.

I am not saying you need to cover yourself from head to toe.
I am not saying don’t wear a skirt.
 I am not saying don’t wear a V neck.
I am not saying don’t wear a cute bathing suit or a cute dress.

I am saying you need to dress to impress the two most important people in your life:GOD & YOU

Please Check out Modli Clothing for clothing that is modest and cute :)

WAR ROOM {2015}

SYNOPSIS:

With great jobs, a beautiful daughter (Alena Pitts) and a dream house, the Jordans seem to have it all. Appearances can be deceiving, however, as husband Tony (T.C. Stallings) flirts with temptation and wife Elizabeth (Priscilla Shirer) becomes increasingly bitter, crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. Their lives take an unexpected turn for the better when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie), who encourages the couple to find happiness through prayer.

REVIEW
I went and saw this amazing movie last weekend with the youth from my church. It changed my life. I was blown away by the powerful message. It was delivered with a perfect combination of humor and seriousness. I would watch it every week for the rest of my life and that is really saying something! The actors are amazing in portraying the real struggles that families go through. One of my favorite aspects of this movie is how a Modern Woman changed her life and the life of her family by turning to God and changing her prayer life! If you have not seen it please take the time to see it. You will not be the same!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Verses 4 Life

Hello Beautiful
I just wanted to share some encouragement with you in the form of Bible Verses. I hope your weekend is as amazing as you are :)

WOMAN is . . .

Do you ever feel inadequate? Like you just aren’t good enough. Do you ever catch yourself when you look in the mirror saying things like:
  • I am NOT skinny enough!
  • I am NOT pretty enough!
  • I am NOT smart enough!
  • I am NOT likable enough!
  • I am NOT good enough!
Why do we do this? Oh I will tell you why we do this it is because we allow the outside influences to  and change our belief in what WOMAN is.
People.
Commercials.
Magazines.
Movies.
Books.
TV Shows.

All these things work together to help us {WOMEN}  feel inadequate because it reduces WOMAN down to just one thing: Looks. We look at these women and see how much we are not like them and then we automatically assume we are the ones lacking. Did it ever occur to you {because it sure didn’t me} that they may be the ones lacking?

Psalms 31: 30 says “ Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Just because you don’t look a certain way, laugh a certain way, talk a certain way or behave a certain way does not mean that you are not everything to God. God values what is on the inside of your heart and how much you fear the lord. Not how you look or appear on the outside!

WOMAN is so much more than just how she looks.

The Bible says in Psalms 139:14 “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Guess what ladies, that means that God made you just the way you are. God does not make mistakes! God doesn’t need a do over. Every decision God makes he makes it on purpose and for a purpose.

God make YOU on purpose and for a purpose!

Don’t let the world tell you that you are not good enough because to God WOMAN IS A PERFECT CREATION!
